My first game character on the more realistic side, and first time using hair cards! Based on a concept by Tian Zi. Character is 83K including hair cards, props are 24K. Fully rendered in Unreal, to practice setting up the materials, using the Unreal skin and hair shaders, and importing a rig and animations. I created all the materials for the character and props in Substance Designer or Substance Painter, and created the hair texture in XGen. Plants and ground texture are from Megascans. I broke out the texture sheets into top, bottom, and skin groups for the main character, and separated the props into their own UV sheets so they could be unique game assets which you pick up overtime.
