Reel Breakdown 

0:03:04 – Lost & Crowned (2020), responsible for texturing and shading “balloon transport” airship, creating new textures and materials as well as utilizing a library of textures to keep consistent with other assets in the film. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold. 

0:11:07 – Apex Legends Season 15 Launch Trailer (2022), responsible for CG/Asset/Lighting supervision. Supervised the modeling, texturing & look development, rigging, animation, lighting and compositing departments. Oversaw in-house artists as well as outsource vendors to process game assets and create new ones. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold. 

0:14:11 – Aldi Christmas Launch Advert (2021), responsible for texturing and look development for new “Ebanana Scrooge” banana character, as well as all featured character outfits. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold. 

0:19:02 – Clash of Clans 8th Anniversary (2020), responsible for texturing and look development for the new "Party King” character, his guitar, the bass, the cowbell, keyboard, and full stage including light rigging. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold. 

0:22:13 – Snowday | A Clashmas Story (2021), responsible for texturing and shading chessboard mini figurines, provided only with base color data from Blender game assets. Tasked with featuring new “Clash Mini” assets, I thought to make a “premium” version of them more fit for a king’s use, but showing wear from heavy use over time. Also responsible for CG/Asset/Lighting supervision. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold. 

0:29:05 – Apex Legends Season 9 Launch Trailer (2021), responsible for developing a new, stylized painterly look for an existent game map. Created procedural painterly textures for the natural set elements such as the grass, trees snow and rocks with Substance painter and processed the game asset buildings to match the painterly style of the trailer as well, then laid all the assets out to work for the shots. Also responsible for lighting and rendering all shots taking place on this set. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold, Nuke. 

0:36:21 – Deck the Arena! (2019), responsible for texturing and lookdev for ice and snow elements; worked with other artists to create procedural materials for the ice and snow features in the shots, including the ice trees, snow ground tiles, frozen river, and the ice encasing for the frozen characters. Also used procedural generation to populate mountains with snowy trees and rocks. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold. 

0:42:07 – "Demon”, responsible for all elements: sculpting, hand-painted textures, look development, posing, lighting and rendering. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Marmoset Toolbag, V-Ray. Won Gnomon Best of Term Summer 2018 “Character - Games” category. 

0:47:15 – "Samurai Soldier”, responsible for all elements: sculpting, texturing, hair card generation and placement, look development, basic rigging, posing, animating, lighting and rendering. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Marmoset Toolbag, V-Ray. 

0:50:02 – Brawl Stars – The Last Stand (2022), responsible for texturing and shading characters based on in-game models and concepts, as well as sequence lighting setup and creating the shot lighting for the first shot. Also responsible for CG/Asset/Lighting supervision. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold, Nuke. 

0:54:01 – Snowday | A Clashmas Story (2021), responsible for CG/Asset/Lighting supervision, as well as set layout and texturing & look development for the turkey legs and mugs. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold. 

0:59:13 – Lost & Crowned (2020), responsible for texturing and shading entire pantry room and all contained props, as well as the entire kitchen, creating new textures and materials as well as utilizing a library of textures to keep consistent with other assets in the film. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold. 

1:06:03 – Aldi Christmas Launch Advert (2021), responsible for texturing and look development for old & young version of “Ebanana Scrooge” banana character, with an emphasis on achieving a photoreal look for a ripe banana vs. a young, unripe one to contrast his life stages. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold. 

1:12:01 – Apex Legends Season 10 Launch Trailer (2021), responsible for creating new textures and materials for a new version of a tree featured in an in-game map. Using the game reference, I had to create a different version with hand-painted, painterly textures and materials that would fit into our art style for the trailers. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold. 

1:19:11 – Apex Legends Season 10 Launch Trailer (2021), responsible for texturing and lookdev for featured “Loba” character; taking provided base color textures from her provided in-game asset and stylizing them into a more painterly version that would fit with our trailer’s style, then building her materials. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold. 

1:24:14 – Aldi Christmas Advert Teaser (2020), responsible for texturing and look development for fighter jet, turkey character, and flight helmets, with a focus on photorealism. Also responsible for shot lighting. Software used: Maya, Substance Painter, Photoshop, Arnold, Nuke.
